Hair removal test calibration pigtails are often used in fiber optic communication systems to ensure the quality and performance of fiber optic connections.
1. Hair removal test
Purpose: To detect whether there are tiny fibers (i.e. "hair") on the end face of the fiber optic connector, which may affect the transmission quality of the optical signal. Method: Use a microscope or fiber optic tester to observe the connector end face to ensure that it is clean and free of contamination
2. Calibration pigtail
Definition: A pigtail used to calibrate test equipment, usually with known optical properties such as insertion loss and return loss. Purpose: To calibrate test equipment such as optical power meters and OTDR (optical time domain reflectometer) to ensure the accuracy of measurement results.
3. Application scenarios:
(1) Maintenance of medical cosmetic equipment:
The optical fiber components in laser hair removal equipment need to be tested and calibrated regularly to ensure that the output energy meets the standard.
Use a special test pigtail or calibration tool for detection.
(2) Fiber energy transmission test:
Connect the test equipment (such as an optical power meter) through the pigtail to measure the laser output power of the hair removal equipment.
The calibration fiber is used to verify the accuracy of the test equipment.
