The plastic imaging optical fiber is composed of very fine single plastic optical fiber filaments arranged in a fixed order. The inner core of 7400 cores (7400 pixels) and 13000 cores (13000 pixels) needs to be in close contact with the target source when transmitting images. The diameter is larger than that of glass fibers. Thinner, better toughness, and suitable for image transmission in small and confined spaces, plastic pixel fibers are used in endoscopes and imaging fields, with lower cost and better flexibility than glass fibers.
